My project is about the difference in function of the brain with ADHD and without, I chose to do this topic because people always generalize others who have ADHD and I want to show people that not everyone's the same when it comes to it. Also I will input how the ego, id, and superego work differently in someone with ADHD and someone without. For history I will be researching how the ego, id, and superego are different in someone with and without ADHD and then from that research I am going to create self portraits the reflect ego, id, and superego. This will also tie into my art. I am going to be analyzing how people with ADHD are seen differently with/without meds, also why people generalize ADHD to how one person acts. Also how ego, id, and superego tie into how ADHD changes the brain's way of thinking and processing things. So then for art I will be creating three self portraits the reflect the ego, id, and superego as I said in my history. I will be analyzing the how ADHD has connections to the art and other forms of creativity, also how artists with ADHD paint differently on/off of their medication. Showing how they might look and work differently in the mind of someone with ADHD. Finally for english I am going to be creating a spoken word poem in the view of someone with ADHD like the poem OCD by Neil Hilborn that explains how people generalize the disability, how it affects the person with ADHD, and how that affects their lives everyday. I am going to be analyzing how the brain functions differently in those with ADHD, also poems/stories of people's views on others with ADHD and the view of someone with ADHD.My goal for this project is that people will understand more about the disability and maybe not assume that everyone is the same way, also that I can get an insight into ADHD and that I can understand it more.
History
|
I connected my history to my goal by seeing how the ego, id, and superego affect the thinking process of someone with ADHD and how it is different from someone without, also how the meds affect these three different voices. The purpose of my research was so that I can understand how my brain works because it works differently from other people, also how the meds affect that way of thinking. The purpose of my product was the same as art because they are the same product for both.

English
|
I connected the english to my goal by creating a spoken word about the life of someone with ADHD, so that others without the disability or people who have it can see that there are others like them or that people with ADHD are not that different from everyone else. The purpose of my research was to understand how other people have dealt with this disability in their everyday life and to see how contrasting the brain waves of someone with and without are. The purpose of my product was to show people the everyday life of someone with ADHD and how everyone's version of ADHD is different. The name is same for everyone, but the way is affects their lives is very different.

Art
I connected the art to my goal by creating something that kinda shows what goes on in everyone's mind, but more prominent in the mind of someone with ADHD. The purpose of my research was to get an understanding for art by someone with ADHD about ADHD, so that mine can be better and not look like the other artwork. The purpose of my product was to show the battle between the three different people in the brain of someone with this disability.
